We were the ones whom women hired when everything else had failed to bring them justice... We were the monsters they hired to slay the real monsters in their lives.

At his wits' end to find justice for his sister after she was assaulted, billionaire Dominic Park comes across The Wildcats. A group of 5 absolute badass female vigilantes who are always more than willing to step in to fight for women who’ve been failed by the law. In working with the Wildcats, one happens to catch the eye of Dominic - Samaira, aka Crimson Tiger. With the constant danger of her work and his high-profile status potentially threatening the anonymity of the Wildcats, will she be able to let him in?

Dear reader, please understand that I do not hand out 5-star reviews lightly; so when I say there was not a single doubt in my mind that Rage was a 5-star read for me (and will be a reread), I mean it wholeheartedly. From start to finish, I was completely addicted to this book.
My addiction to this book began with our FMC, Samaira (a.k.a. Crimson Tiger, the fighter of the Wildcats). A beautiful, jacked, powerful, ruthless, protective, and deadly morally grey badass. Her character as a whole instantly hooked me into the Wildcats world. (Speaking of the Wildcats - as a whole, I am in awe of these women, what they do, and what they stand for. The various forms of strength, bravery, and need for justice in each of their characters are amazing.)

My addiction continued with our MMC, Dominic Park… and if Samaira wasn’t so protective of her man, I would say that he is my new book boyfriend. There is no bruised ego in sight over the way his woman (or any of the Wildcats, for that matter) can easily overpower him. This man is protective, proud, and supportive (including putting his billionaire pocketbook to good use).

The spice was perfect - intense and dark just like Samaira and Dominic, but never overpowering the story as a whole. If anything, it supported the story in how Samaira reclaimed her own power, and how Dominic supported his woman and her boundaries.

The women who were attacked were empowered by the Wildcats. Not only through the justice they brought these women, but they were also offered the ability to train with the Wildcats, giving these women the physical strength and tactics to defend themselves, to reclaim their power. Also, the body positivity in being strong and powerful like these women was impeccable!

I think what sealed this as a 5-star read for me was how beautifully Nia Myst combined the dark of revenge, violence, and survival with the light of love, hope, and connection. The seamless flow of light and dark made it that much easier to pull me into feeling all of the feels with the characters - the rage, love, anguish, and power.

For readers who are fans of dark romance, I cannot recommend Rage enough. I cannot wait for the second book in the Wildcats series, and I will be ready to pounce and devour it when it’s released.
