And that is exactly how I felt about reading Secrets of the Wolf: Book One in the Shadow and Spell Duet - I simply could not put this read down.

Starting out in a seemingly normal world, Sophia Holland’s seemingly normal life as a best-selling author is flipped on its head when she catches the eye of Lucan Thorne. Known as “The Wolf”, this billionaire playboy has his own motives for seeking out Sophia’s company. Motives that threaten her very comfortable and seemingly ordinary existence.

Filled with discovery and twists of deception, Calla Arden packs Secrets of the Wolf with unique world building and intriguing plot twists, which had me devouring this in one sitting. From fae to vampires, to witches and familiars, this novella is sure to keep its readers hooked until the very end.

While this book didn’t end on a major cliffhanger, I was still left with many questions that have me excited for the next book in this series. I cannot wait to see what happens next in Sophia and Lucan’s story.
